Special economic zones
Located in Malopolska Region are two special economic zones, in which investors are entitled to public assistance earmarked for support of new investments and creation of new jobs.
Kraków Special Economic Zone
The zone is located within the territory of the city of Kraków, the city of Tarnów, and the two communes: Zabierzów and Niepolomice and is extended over the total area of 262 786 ha. Companies located in Kraków SEZ have incurred PLN 450 million in investment, employing 4 500 people, 3 500 of which on newly-created jobs. Permits to carry out business activities in Kraków SEZ have been obtained so far by 21 companies, including 11 representatives of high technology sector.
The territory of Kraków SEZ is the arena of activity of, among others, leaders in the sector of advanced technologies, including: RR Motorola Electronics Polska, Comarch S.A. (operating in telecommunications and information industry).
The following companies are making plans for entering Kraków SEZ: a German motor industry company – MAN (Niepolomice), an American computer and data management services company – Affiliated Computer Services - ACS (Zabierzów), an IT company – Ericpol (Kraków - Pychowice), and a production plant manufacturing Beckers paints (Tarnów).

EURO-PARK MIELEC Special Economic Zone – Gorlice Economic Area
Gorlice Industrial Area constitutes a part of the EURO-PARK MIELEC Special Economic Zone. Gorlice Industrial Area – SEZ comprises the total area of 29.40 ha. The current offer to future investors comprises the total area of 22.38 ha.
